July 8, 20214 yr I hope you can help me. I have installed XPlane 11.50 again and have enabled the Vulkan option. The simulator is correct in terms of its FPS performance. The problem I have is that it is too dark, to the point that inside the cabin in broad daylight it seems to be night. I can't find a way to correct this or where should I configure it.
July 8, 20214 yr Sounds like you have a third party shader tool such as X-Vision etc, thats not compatible with vulkan. To get it to work, you have to restore the default shaders. Open the X-plane installer (file name X Plane 11 Installer.exe), then press update X-Plane. Follow the instructions, then let it do its scanning, which will detect the shader file, and it will ask you if you want to keep the old file, or overwrite the old file. (You should see the path to the shader files folder ). Press Overwrite the old file. Let it finish then it should work. PS: To add shaders, you will have to get the vulkan compatible versions (I only used X-Vision so I had to purchase X-Vision 2.0 which is vulkan compatible) Jonathon James
