P3DV4.5 has started to slow down on my more than capable rig

Hey guys...so the last few weeks or so, my sim has started to slow down. Seems like my frames are running in the low 20's at best, and then the mid teens when I'm at a big airport with a 3rd party addon, weather, or ai traffic. Not sure what I can do to fix this and speed it up a bit. I haven't installed anything new or tweaked any settings. Before a few weeks ago, I would be in the 30fps range if not more. Here are my specs:

Samsung Evo 970 250GB

Asus ROG 2080ti

Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB DDR4 3200

Corsair Hydro Series H115i RGB

I'd start by looking for something running in the background--virus checker scan, file indexing etc.

Just because *you* didn't change anything doesn't mean Win 10 didn't come in and do it for you.  Check your update history to see if a recent Windows update coincides with the change in performance.

Something like a failed fan or a loose aux power connector on a GPU can also cause slowdowns.  If the usual software culprits are eliminated, then a look-see around the computer may be in order.
