CTD when trying to asign buttons on honeycomb yoke

So since the update all my buttons are all messed up and need to be reassigned, eg Battery, lights etc....on my honeycomb Yoke but when I go into the controller options menus and asign one then validate as you do  the screen freezes then boom...CTD.......any ideas please??

Awesome performance though on my 10 year old pc....just amazing!
