July 29, 20214 yr After SU-5 the performance of MSFS is incredible for me with my Index. With Supersampling at 150% and everything maxed out at ultra accept render scale at 100% i get rock solid performance even skimming the roofs of Manhattan. I get around 30-35 fps according to fpsVR but it feels completely smooth in VR - not one stutter whatever I do. But I did have a problem when CTRL+TAB:ing to start VR where it crashed the game every time. Just CTD with no errors. After fiddeling around I realized it stopped if I disabled the power management so the hubs do not power down when I shut down Steam VR. So try that if you experience the same behaviour. July 29, 20214 yr My LH are already configured to not turning off already. What nearly cures these CTD for me instead, when switching 2D/VR with the Index, was setting HAGS to OFF. Otherwise like you I can raise rendering to 152% (slightly better than 150 to me but I'll revisit this) and this is the limit on the 2070S to be able to use Motion Smoothing. Otherwise if your hardware permit, 300% on the Index is really neat (similar details as using super sampling 126% with FOV 50%) Â
July 29, 20214 yr Author Turned off HAGS some months ago so it might be that was the right move then 😉 Ryzen 9800X3D | Gigabyte X670 Aorus Elite AX MB | 64GB 6000Mhz DDR5 | RTX 5080 GPU | Windows 11 Pro x64 | Virpil T-50 Throttle | T50 CM2 Grip + WarBRD | VKB T-rudder MK IV | Asus PG279Q 1440p | Pimax Crystal Light VR | Samsung 980 Pro as system disk and Samsung 990 Pro M2 SSD for games
