July 29, 20214 yr Wednesday I was able to complete many flights of about 30-minutes each using stored flight plans from prior to SU5. All GA (C172 Glass, G36, DA62, TBM) planes using VOR and GPS navigation. I was also able to build a new flight plan and successfully fly it in the C172 and the TBM. At times my community folder contained up to 20-addons. I suffered no pauses and was seeing a steady 45 to 65 FPS flying around SoCal. Today I have suffered the following: more than a dozen crashes to the desktop (from installation manager, world map, loading the flight, during flight, after the flight) autopilot errors (refuse to fly to the waypoint, sudden roll to either side and spin, continuous hunting either side of path to waypoint, turns off AP when adjusting altitude) PFD and MFD flight plan displays that do not match long pauses and stutters throttle controls that will not move with the mouse but will with the CH Yoke throttle quadrant, throttle controls that don't respond to the CH flight plans that are perfect in the World Nav Log but are missing half the waypoints when seen in the MFD/PFD Inability to preset the FLC speed Failure to heed the FLC speed once set Five to 10 minute waits during "Checking Updates" Sim gets to Main Menu/World but refuses to display Navaids and Fixes, while creating new plan, despite my having them turned on Flights Plans display in World with correct legs but no waypoints shown G1000 Nxi installed but NONE of the functions shown in the WT YouTube promo are available (yes the old WT1000 mod was removed) At other times everything works perfectly and the sim is wonderful! Sometimes it takes only 2.5-minutes to get to the FLY screen with the plane holding short on a RWY - other times it takes 10-minutes with NO changes at all except an intervening CTD. Nothing in the Community Folder Use Afterburner to monitor system GPU never exceeds 75°C and CPU is always below 65°C I have run all kinds of SSD stress tests and found no errors for either C (Win 10) or D (Dedicated to MSFS) My internet connection is always better than 400 Mb/sec Prior to SU5 I was flying GA planes about two-hours a day, every day (thank goodness for retirement), with very few problems I sure hope the wonderful times (about one out of five flights) become more common - 'cause when they do happen - the sim is magic!
