August 14, 20214 yr So I am trying to get a pushback, ATC tells me that the pushback is approved, however, nothing happens, no matter how long I wait. I think this is because Pilot2ATC does't know on what gate I am. I selected my gate multiple time using the Info button and then Runways & Gates, however it resets every time to the first gate available. Is there any way to save the selected gate? and is this also the problem for the pushback not working correctly.
August 14, 20214 yr p2a does not perform actual pushback. It is done either from the sim or a 3rd party pushback app such as PushbackHelper.exe. Edited August 14, 20214 yr by bjwoody61

August 18, 20214 yr Which gate are you referring to? Departure or arrival? I'm assuming you are referring to departure since you are asking about pushback. If so then the departure gate can be selected in the sim world map. This has nothing to do with p2a other than informing it where you are at the airport. If you are referring to arrival after landing and being clear of runway and tuned to ground ctl, you can ask for taxi instructions to a specific gate verbally or ask for instructions to the gate generally. If asked generally p2a will give instructions to taxi to the closet gate near you. In short, no gates are saved for you specifically in p2a
