View Switch Commands Question

Featured Replies

I have a mouse with buttons that can be assigned. Long ago I set it up so captain’s vc view could be switched to spot and vice versa. Also, I could cycle through the different vc views, e.g. FO, FE, and back to Captain. Razer ate my file, I guess, and I have been going through P3D commands for hours and can’t figure out how to get it right now! Is there a way to assign a key command to a particular view? I am not interested in any views but these: cycle stations in the vc and back and forth between captain’s vc view and spot. Now, I’m getting all the outside views (tower, etc.) and that “no vc vc” view when cycling same.

Not sure from the above if what you want is to be able to use just one button to cycle two views only; not sure that's possible.

But I use two yoke buttons to activate a different view each, one for captain vc, the other for forward view/no cockpit, programming them as key commands F9 and F10, respectively.  I use the no-cockpit view for unobstructed sightseeing.

The same technique could be used with key command F11 assigned to a mouse button, to activate spot view.

View commands are described at http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv3/LearningCenter/getting_started/view_system/using_views_and_windows.html.

Thanks for the reply. I'm ashamed at how poorly I worded the question, but you figured it out. I did want to jump, rather than cycle. In the end I assigned the F Keys for Cockpit and Outside so I can at least reliably flick back and forth and then I have another mouse button for cycling.
