August 26, 20214 yr Has anyone been able to get the AP on the A2A PA28 to follow the magenta line in a stable manner? I always steer the plane on course using HD mode, then enable either LO TRK or HI TRK. The autopilot can't stay in a straight line, it always wanders at least 1 degree left or right of track. Using FSX Steam Edition. Thanks Edited August 26, 20214 yr by M3tr4nk0
September 3, 20214 yr Hi, I'd guess this would depend on what data is the A2A PA28 LO TRK or HI TRK modes are feeding their data from, and whether they are doing their own lateral control or whether they are relying underneath on the stock FS lateral controller. The GNS V2 is overriding the GPS, HSI and NAV simvars which are most likely used by any 3rd party vendor. The GNS V2 is also overriding the stock GPS/autopilot coupling with its own lateral guidance data so that any aircraft autopilot which is using the stock FS autopilot PIDs is properly guided. Is there a topic about this on the A2A forum already?
