August 28, 20214 yr I used to fly my simulator with active weather but I gave it up. Today my sky only consists of a 3/8 layer of cirrus 28,000 to 31,000 feet to give the sky some texture. The program I was using several years ago was, to me, unusable because it didn't take into consideration high altitude terrain. I like to fly in the mountains and it bothered me that scattered cumulus at 6,000 feet which looks nice in the lowlands had clouds sitting on the runway and on the ground in the mountains. Have the new dynamic weather programs compensated for that? Noel The tires are worn. The shocks are shot. The steering is wobbly. But the engine still runs fine.
