How to remove wing from left and right views

Featured Replies

Hey all, How can I remove this "wing". I want to be able to look out the sides without having a wing in the way. Thanks.

Easiest way would be a sudden and sharp pull up say to around 10g, if it is still attached you could try a sharp push to -12g.. that should get rid of those pesky wings. ;-)

Errr.. LOL :-hah

Comment out the xxx_interior.mdl from the model.cfg file:{models}normal=Cessna172SP//interior=cessna172sp_interior //commented out to remove "wings" from 2d viewBut then you won't have a Virtual Cockpit View anymore...

Well, in the interest of full disclosure, I should add that this will only be possible with true FSX models.Third party FS9 "import/conversions" cannot be done this way, since the interior and exterior models are compiled into a single .mdl file. For the latter, one would have to use a hexeditor to "hack" the .mdl file and disable the interior (VC) part of the model.
