September 8, 20214 yr This new update is great. I saw no problems with any scenery and the frame rate stayed at 30 to more for the whole trip even panning around, and this is at mach 1 to 2.4 for most of the trip. And my old sim computer is very middle of the road. It is dedicated to simming only. It has 4 screens and the lower one is a touch screen with Knobster for turning dials etc. I also use Navigraph on the left for navigation, that is how I flew this flight, I also had GPS guidance and ILS for the landing, you can see me tuning radios and changing OBS at times on the touch screen. I did not use the AP, the F14 is so steady you don't need it, use trim to keep altitude or set rate of climb or descent. I sped up most of the trip 20X in post, I flew the whole flight real time and shot it over my shoulder with my iPhone. The landing at Arlanda is at 10 minutes if you want to watch that w/o all the xc footage. You will notice I built an instrument panel in AirManager complete with working radios and all instruments including radio altimeter. I love this option. My HOTAS Thrustmaster A10 stick has all the controls including trim, flaps and all the views on it. I use the Bravo for gear and flaps if I want. The left throttle quadrant has airbrakes and parking brake. Love this plane and the whole sim as well. It is great to be able to fly at 150kts or mach 2.4.
