MSFS 2024 native A2A Comanche - out now
Yes as posted above, I used Loran a lot flying IFR until GPS came out. I used Loran hooked to auto pilot to fly VOR-VOR or to intersections. Just as backup to VOR DME and ADF. Made work load a lot easier as single pilot IFR over mountains etc. I also flew NDB approach into B20, now KIZG, using Loran as main guide, but of course monitoring ADF full time. Way more accurate that way. I always figured Loran at my local airport was within 100' we are close to the Maine Coast here, so Loran coverage was really good. Now the only approach to KIZG is RNAV. A big improvement and much easier to fly.

MSFS 2024 native A2A Comanche - out now
I had a Loran in my C177 back in the 80's before GPS. All IFR nav back then was VOR NDB in GA aircraft. But I always used Loran as a help it was coupled into my AP as well. As soon as GPS came out that was retrofitted. Much better and soon it became IFR certified unlike Loran.

Multi monitor right view stutters
In my experience with 4 screens DLSS only works on #1 monitor. And I get smooth center screen (#1) but stutters in payware airports when turning fast taxiing. Most of the time side monitors are smooth. I think it is all about what your graphics card can handle.

WinWing PFP-3N Problem
I have had the MCDU now for a few weeks. No real problems. In 2024, I have had to restart the App (SimPro I think) a couple times both when my EFIS/FCU units as well as the MCDU has not displayed numbers or letters. But just restarting the App always solves it, no need to end flight or quit MSFS. I use exclusively for the Fenix 3xx planes and I love all the WinWing stuff.

Upgraded from 1080 to a 4070gtx HELP
Try win11. I have the 4070ti Super and it runs perfectly for me. Also I have 64GB Ram. More in my profile below. Power supply may be the problem.

Multi screen in 2024 is great
Yes not often but a few times I have seen grass appear and disappear every few seconds. Mostly in No Payware airports, I would say. I always focus on enjoying what works, and I accept a few glitches especially on something as complex as 2024. It took quite a while to fix things in 2020, and some things still have problems in 2020. I do have to say that 2024 is much improved for multi screen use. I too use at least 5 screens sometimes 6, 4 always on my 2024 computer. Others are laptops and tablets, and a few WinWing units.

Multi screen in 2024 is great
Yes I agree. But by having my #1 monitor being my center monitor. I really don't notice lesser frame rates in the peripheral monitors, unless I specifically look hard at them when turning fast taxiing or very close to the ground in a helicopter. My side monitors are also only 1080's and I don't really notice that either as most of the time they really just are to fill in peripheral vision. And we don't even see color in our peripheral vision, your brain fills it in. It seems my mind also upscales the side monitors for me.

Multi screen in 2024 is great
Yes but I think it only works on my middle screen (#1 4K). Fenix mostly, but also the R66 and a few GA planes like C207, B36 etc. I fly mostly around the NE USA: PWM BOS JFK ACK IZG LAC LGA MHT BGR BML CYHZ CYSJ CYQB. Also Scandinavia ESSA ESSB EFTU and a bunch in Norway. These are areas I flew around a lot in real life as a pilot. But I also fly all over the world just random areas.

Fenix A321 Stability During Takeoff Roll
With a crosswind, I give it a bit of nose down elevator to start with. It is a long body so x-wind has a bigger effect in the vertical stab. I also made the Pendulum TM's pedals a bit softer touch in the middle ( progressive curves) in the hdw setup. The 319 is easier in X-wind. And that makes sense to me. It has been a while since I flew the PMDG 737 but I don't remember it being easier.

Great and frustrating at the same time.
Well if you don't start cold and dark, there is no point in GSX Pro. It runs in the background while you prepare the plane and program the flight, takes about the right amount of time, you can speed up the boarding in a few ways, but it is sort of fun to watch. Using different screens for tablet and MCDU make this nice, you can watch external or out the windows as plane is fueled catered and has cargo loaded as well as the passengers that mostly look pretty real, but sometimes walk through each other of moonwalk floating. The pushback is really cool as is the follow me truck after landing, leading you to the right gate night or day. It is just another cool bit of immersion, to me it feels right, even though sometimes it is a bit comical. I have the KBOS FlyTampa as well and it works perfectly there as well as all other airports I have used even small one like KACK the stairs and buses delivering passengers are really cool. I have used it at dozens of payware airports and lots of native 2024 and 2020 ones with no problems at all. It did take me a while to figure out exactly how to use it, the manual is long and there are lots of vids on the subject. I highly reccomend it if you fly airliners from cold and dark, if you like to start on the runway and just go I would not bother with it.

Great and frustrating at the same time.
So for a while I was very happy with 2024. I was mostly flying Fenix A319, A320 and A321. They work perfectly for me in 2024 and I have my MCDU on a touch screen as well as a Pad with the EFT on the side. Using my 4 screen setup. With Winwing FCU and FCIS. GFX Pro works perfectly as well. I was also flying the B36 and the M20 as well as a few other 2020 GA planes no problems at all. For helicopter I flew mostly the R66, I got it set up and running great. I did have a few issues with bindings not sticking etc. But mostly everything ran great. Then 2 days ago I decided to install a bunch of helis from 2020, the HYPE H145, a couple payware B206's and the Friends 500. When I did all hell broke loose. I could not get any of the bindings working. And even though FlyInside and Hype claim 2024 compatibility, for me at least they are not even close. The bindings kept disappearing and changing, trim settings did not work and yes a couple CTD's and lots of freezes that took a while but then came back. My side monitors were sometimes upside down and then snapped back upright. A bunch of other stuff happened as well. So I spent 2 days just trying to get things mostly helis to work. Then today I gave up. Cleaned all the extra stuff (what I added in the last days) to of my Community Folder. And guess what now things are back working perfectly again. I even started flying the Cabri and made a lot of custom bindings for it just to make sure things would stick and they did. So for me the moral of this period of frustration is, just stick with what works. Keep it simple and things work great. Just because a developer says a product is 2024 compatible does not mean it will work. I just wanted to share this experience and see if others have come to similar conclusion. For me I only use 2024 now, and only try one new thing at a time. I am sure with upcoming updates things will all work eventually. If I want to play with my old helis etc, I will go back to 2020. But for me at least 2020 looks so bad compared to 2024 that I will live with the limited products that work to get the fantastic scenery and clouds.

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 1.2.11.0 Hotfix Released
Funny non of my settings changed at all. Graphics multi monitors or controls. I don't use career mode maybe that is what they worked on, seems a lot of complaints are about that. I posted this in another thread: Just did a flight in the Fenix A319. My Take: Everything fie with WinWing FCU/FCIS. GSX is still a bit confused with parked stairs you have to taxi through etc. And AI planes are in the gate you should taxi to. No change from before. Flight CYSJ-CYHZ with a few in route plan changes, just for fun. No problems at all. Looks great flies great as before. I will try a heli flight next.

MSFS Controls... or external? FSUIPC, SPAD...
With WinWing there is no reason to use anything other than SimAppPro at least for the A3XX planes. It works perfectly in the background and you don't need to do anything it just works. This has been my experience with Fenix planes and the 2024 Airbuses. I have had the FCU for a couple months and added the EFIS just before Xmas. I pretty much only use 2024 now, so I can't speak for 2020.

WinWing MCDU AND CDU'S. They look Good.
177B replied to rgbinns's topic in Hardware Controllers: Joysticks/Yokes | Throttle Quads | Rudder Pedals | Drivers etcDoes Mobi drive the text displays correctly as well? I have found SimAppPro to perform flawlessly for months now for my Fenix A3XX planes completely in the background. It auto starts when I log into computer.

Running 3 Monitors in 2020
I do fly one default Heli the R66 all the rest I fly are mostly payware. The Fenix A320 is fantastic payware as well. I have flown the 172 and the B36 as well as the Baron 2024 defaults. I do use frame gen, I did publish all my settings for 2024 a few weeks ago, you can search for the post. I use mostly 2024 now but 2020 every once in a while. Happy new year!

Running 3 Monitors in 2020
I run a 4 monitor setup. 4K in the middle and 1080's on the sides, all 27" monitors. I also have a 1080 touch screen below the middle screen, for Air Manager or popouts. I also use one or more iPads for Fenix MCDU and EFB. This works great for me usually about 60 FPS in 2024. I fly a lot of Helicopters and it really helps to have the side monitors both for immersion but also for hovering close to the ground. I find using 1080 for side monitors is fine as most attention is on the main monitor, your brain really makes it all feel the same. We can't even see color with our peripheral vision, but our brain adds it in. Pretty interesting when you study how vision actually works. We are very good at seeing motion peripherally but not detail at all. Description of system in my sig.

Fenix' Navigraph maps flickering in the EFB
Yes and Fenix developers know about it and other bugs as well in 2024. It is "Experimental" and not supported, no tickets can be opened on the 24 version. There is a Discord channel where there is some communication from developer. They are working on it. Most of the A3XX Fenix is working very well in 24. Patience is the word at the moment. We are in for a really great 25 sim year I think.
