Vertx DA62 in v5 and Ai Lights Reborn problem

I've discovered a problem after changing the Registry to allow the Vertx DA62 Config App to interact with the aircraft in P3Dv5.

With an entry for P3Dv4 existing Ai Lights Reborn will generate a .NET error when launched as it expects to find a fully installed version of P3Dv4. If you select 'Continue' the drop-down from which you can select which sim to interact with is empty.

As AILR is an integral part of AIG Traffic Controller the same error is generated when that addon is enabled for P3Dv5. It's looking for v4 but after a few seconds the error message disappears and the addon runs without any issues.

But if you want to change anything in AILR you need to remove that Registry entry for v4.

Not very satisfactory but you can't blame the developer of AILR as he's following the SDK and if it thinks P3Dv4 is installed then it looks for certain files and complains when it can't find them.

The solution? Well either be prepared to keep removing and reinstating that Registry entry when appropriate or stop using the DA62 in v5. Alternatively, uninstall AI Lights Reborn.

Has anyone else come across this problem and did you arrive at the same conclusion?

LATER: There is a quick 'n dirty workaround. Export the P3Dv4 Registry setting to a file and keep it on your Desktop. Then delete the P3Dv4 entry in the Registry. That keeps AILR and AIG TC happy. When you want to use the DA62 Utility double-click the REG file and it reinstates the Registry entry for P3Dv4.
