ATC change of approach and runway

Recommended Posts

Hello Dave,

just a question. I set up P2ATC options in such a way ATC can change approach and arrival runway depending on wind.

If that happens I assign the new data in the MCDU and everything works fine. The FLP (the green/blue FLP in P2ATC) still remains the original one (previous approach and runway).

Is that normal or is there something to do to have the new plan in P2ATC?.

Thanks in advance.

Fabio

Hi Fabio,

The visible flight plan in P2A is like an aircraft moving map unit.  If you get a change from ATC, you have to input that change into P2A in order to view it.  You don't have to input it unless you want to use the moving map, but if you do, then you can Validate it to be sure the TOD is recalculated, but DO NOT FILE it, as this will reset ATC's version of the plan and lead to the program not working properly.

Dave
