September 23, 20214 yr Author Hi, a few days ago I flew and used this plugin - everything worked. Today, there is a window built into the dashboard, and it can be shouted separately, but it is not active. For example, when the power is off. today the program was updated, reinstalled. rebooted the PC, tried the volcano mode. nothing helps Edited September 24, 20214 yr by RXP
September 24, 20214 yr Hi, Can you please post the content of the RXP log files? (see user's manual for file/path)
September 26, 20214 yr Thank you for posting these (NB: you could have also just copy/pasted the test itself, instead of screenshots, so that it makes your post searchable too!)
September 27, 20214 yr Author Hello, running with administrator rights did not help the error goes to GTN Trainer, the file is missing. tried to reinstall again several times, with the installation file dropped by the administrator, and X pkane. nothing helps. and it all started that I wanted to update the product I bought. Now I have no words what I have the impression about it. Edited September 27, 20214 yr by Ray Proudfoot Converted to plain text.
September 27, 20214 yr @jeka28 The issue is just a simple Windows user account access rights issue which is a standard Windows file system/operating system feature. It means these files are either absent, or the user account with which you login to Windows and use to run X-Plane doesn't have the credentials on the files or their parent folder(s) (up the chain, not just the immediate parent): NB: it is not about installing as-admin, it is about running XP11 once as-admin in order to grant the plugin the credentials to repair the folder access rights. Otherwise you'd have to audit and change the user access rights manually. Can you tell me what are the files found in this folder: C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\GTN\nonvol\
September 28, 20214 yr Author H Spoiler ello, I ran several times with administrator privileges x plane, C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\GTN\nonvol there are no more subfolders there. for information, I did not make any changes to the account. I am the only user of this PC and also the account has administrator rights from the beginning. Maybe it will help to completely uninstall the program and install it from scratch? I only tried the update. Edited September 28, 20214 yr by RXP
September 28, 20214 yr @jeka28 Would you please post normal text, at normal size, without background colors? In other words, don't copy/paste from whatever you're copying from, copy/paste as text instead. (usually SHIFT+CTRL+V instead of CTRL+V) Thank you. Edited September 28, 20214 yr by RXP
September 28, 20214 yr As for the issue, there is definitely something preventing the trainer from accessing these files, and this type of error in the log file is strongly suggesting a file access rights problem. Even if your user account as certain privileges, when you're running the simulator "as-admin" (meaning right-click and "run as admin") all the file accesses are done with certain user account rights which are different than when running the simulator normally, even if your account is a member of the admin group... Can you confirm you did right-click "run as admin" once, and on the subsequent run as normal user it it still failing? Edited September 28, 20214 yr by RXP
September 28, 20214 yr Author yes, I ran the right button as an administrator, I did it 3 times in a row. has no changes. maybe you need to configure these files differently through the properties security menu?
September 28, 20214 yr At this stage it most likely you've lost some necessary access rights on these files for an unknown reason on your computer. What I'd suggest: 1) copy the parent "nonvol" folder (to make a backup) C:\ProgramData\Garmin\Trainers\GTN\nonvol\ 2) just start XP11 normally (not as-admin) 3) is this working with no errors in the log file?
September 29, 20214 yr Author Hello, thanks for the last try. backing up the files and later replacing the originals helped. test run of the simulator in normal mode showed that the Garmin works. This time thank you very much. the problem is solved.
