CTD Help

Featured Replies

Ever since yesterday when MS's servers were down, I've been having CDT's before I get to the main menu.  This has happened every time, about 10 tries.  The last time i installed new scenery was about 2 weeks ago and was able to load without an issue.  When I launch the sim, I get a message asking me to go into safe mode or normal mode.  This happens every time since yesterday. Prior to that, I'd get the message about 25% of the time since the last update, but never had the CTD.  My question is, how do I figure out what is causing this and how do I fix it?  I have never opened a ticket or anything before so I am not sure if that is the way to go or if my submission just goes into a dark hole.  Any help would be appreciated.  thanks!

Have you cleared out the contents of your Community folder? I had CTDs and some issues with older, non-SU5 compliant liveries.
Cleared the folder, and added a couple items in at a time. Found the problem children. No CTDs since.

I haven't, but can give it a try.  What is weird is that the last time i downloaded and installed a new livery was about 3 weeks ago and was able to fire up the sim without a problem

I'm also on the latest version of the Experimental FBW 320.  Maybe that is causing it?

Could certainly be that. The Dev version has always been more stable for me.

Also, if you're running the FBW, perhaps delete the stock (MSFS) A320 from your install (you can always re-download it). That has fixed problems for a lot of people I know.

It should be in your Content Manager. If you do delete it, then try re-updating the FBW and reboot. Hopefully that will end some of your CTDs. 🙂
