Pitch Trim

My FO always wants to set the pitch trim at 0 even though the MCDU has a value other than 26%.  

Am I missing something?

Are you using the latest fs2crew beta and the fbw dev version?

What are you exaclty entering in the mcdu?

Yes. I am using the FBW dev version and importing the w/b information from simbrief.  I then let the MCDU calculate the center of gravity after the passengers loaded.

I'm using version 1.0 of the software.

I'm speaking for the FBW here to avoid confusion but you need to use the public beta version of fs2crew for the fbw.

 

And you need to enter the the THS value in the mcdu...  That's where fs2crew pulls the data from.

Ok.  Seems to work now that I downloaded version 1.1.  FO still says 26% however.

What percentage was the trim physically at?

I was watching the trim wheel while the FO was going through his flow and I saw the wheel move to 23.6% but the audio said set at 26%.  Probably just a bug I'm sure.

For the audio response for the THS, the callout is a rounded approximation.  It's the best we can do with the data available.  So it won't always be a 100 percent spot on, but the audio will be pretty close.
