Dear Sirs,

After upgrade to W11 neither P3dV4 or P3D v5 is able to find simconnect.dll

I want to use the all my 3 boeing CDU’s but unfortunately  the 777 already gives an error that it needs to be upgraded by you before I start it.

I get below errormessage when I try the 737 and 747 on both platforms from the VA interface application

Not able to find simconnect.dll, VA interface will terminate Please check on virtual avionics website, bla bla bla to a location that doesnt exist anymore

Do you know how I can fix this I have tried reinstalling both P3D and the newest VA interface version from your website

And later, after digging a bit more in the issue I found the culprit but I dont have the rights to perfrom this action even though I'the sole owner and administrator of this pc

After some analysis I have concluded that the position of the simconnect application changed during my upgrade to W11

On my windows 10 machine ( I have a W10 Laptop) The path is as follows:

C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_1ed9da73c880e429_10.0.62615.0_none_69960aa860d87067

And there it works all fine.

On my, now W11 PC the location is

C:\Windows\WinSxS\Fusion\x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_none_7a98ffdea9fe1e16

So I wanted to try to copy the x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_none_7a98ffdea9fe1e16 file and contents directly in the WinSXS folder but although I am the owner and the sole user of this PC I don’t seem to be able to modify the  WinSxS Folder. The option for full control is greyed out, I can’t change my rights to get full control

Basically I think then there is only one option left: for you guys to bring out a new version of the VA software which refers to the right location. Because the referral that you make in the error message unfortunately does not even exist anymore.
