The Rotate MD-80 on X-Plane uses the txt format. This is "Rotate MD-80 and others" in the multiexport dialog. The file format is quite simple just containing one line route description string.

Thanks. I don't see an option under File/Export other options for that particular aircraft? I am able to Export from the multiexport otion but sure was nice having the option under the File /Export other option menu. I use it frequently to copy and paste into VA's routes.

You can also use "Flight Plan" -> "New flight plan from route description" or "Copy flight plan route description to the clipboard". These allow to customize the string.
