April 1, 200719 yr Could be software, could be hardware - so I will post here first.Im pretty sure it is my video memory running out, but I thought I would ask anyway. Depending on where I am, almost always in multiplayer, after around an hour or so all textures in my view become a giant blurry mess. The VC is unreadable, and everything outside is the lowest resolution texture you can imagine. After maybe 3 minutes of sitting, it comes back to being sharp again. Is this because I am maxing out my 256 meg ATIx800xl? I have 2 gigs of XMS corsair ram and an athlon 64 3700 running at 2.6ghz on an Asus A8NSLI-Premium mboard. Thanks for your help.Danon O.
April 1, 200719 yr Sorry but the answer is yes. I had a 256 MB board & same issue. Upgraded to a 512 board, never saw the blurries again.JCMK
April 1, 200719 yr Thanks, figured thats what it was. I will be waiting until June/July to do the big upgrade, and already knew I was going 512. Thanks again.Danon O.
April 4, 200719 yr Not necessarily. It could be after pushing the video card for some time that it's overheating. This is the issue with my Radeon 9800pro. I've got a X1950XT on the way to replace it, but it's served me well for several years.
