Liteboxer... Getting back to racing shape

Featured Replies

Been a really rough few months for me unfortunately.  A few trips to hospital, a bunch of blacking out, no energy and no answers for almost 3 months.  Turns out it looks like undiagnosed Lyme disease was the culprit bringing down my nervous system causing mini-strokes, hypertension, syncope and the worst fatigue I've felt in ages.  I'm now two weeks into my new meds and up to 30 minutes of this everyday.  It's the best piece of workout equipment I've ever owned!  It does go to show we never really know what is going on with others behind the keyboard though.  As I work to improve my empathy in real life I need to do the same here.

Oddly enough though, I don't get nearly as frustrated on conference calls when I am punching something LOL!!!

Just sharing a bit of this morning's workout.  Visual perception, reflexes and strength all seem to be coming back.  Not sure how to embed a video link but if you've never seen a liteboxer they are pretty cool.  You don't just have to hit the target, you have to hit the target in the precise millisecond the streaming light is in the center of the target otherwise it's a miss.  You have to be perfect. I have friends that can't seem to ever master the timing.   After 30 minutes you are flat out exhausted mentally and physically.

2 months to get back to racing form, 3 moths until my first 24 hour endurance race...

No journey worth taking is ever easy, this one started out with me not even being able to hold my head up at times and here we are.  Incredibly grateful.
