Small airports not in 430w

Featured Replies

Installed the RPX  430 and some smaller airports are missing.

I can see KBDL, KHFD but 42B, and 9B8 can’t be found.

Any idea what I need to do to fix this?

Hi,

You might want to read this topic for more information:

NB: although it is in the FltSim forum, it applies equally to the XPlane version.

Is this the correct method to revert back to my short airports?  I actually fly out of two 2000’ airports.

What’s the downside?

Thanks.

If you want to go back to the navdata you were using previously, try this:
1. Go to Windows Control Panel, System Properties, Advanced, Environment Variables
2. See if you can find an entry like GNSDBFILE or GNSADBFILE and delete it

Yes this is the recommended method. Like explained in the other topic, the last GNS update ships with a more recent database, which you can opt-out during installation. If you keep the default and opt-in, it will install the DB file on your hard drive and configure an environment variable which the GNS plugin supports (see RXP GNS User's Manual for a full list and feature description). This permits "overriding" the default without deleting any existing DB file, and this is therefore reversible in just deleting (or renaming) the environment variable.

NB: for the environment variable change to be seen by X-Plane, you must quit X-Plane and relaunch it.

Thanks, the RPX GNS 430 is a nice upgrade for my sim.
