Local NavAids missing in manual FMS entry but work in plans

The following problems occur with stock G1000 and G3000 as well as the G1000Nxi and WTG3000.  All my WT mods are the most current available.    I have seen this problem in the C172/G1000, G36, G36 Turbo, TBM 930, Improved TBM 930

Three days ago - none of these problems were occurring.

ILS/Loc, VOR1, and VOR2 are tuned properly but  every PFD display shows "no data" - even when flying directly toward a VOR at short range or on final approach, directly in line with ILS at the correct altitude.  There is nothing I can do to make ILS/VOR work.

The NAV1 and NAV2 speaker makes no morse code sound thus indicating they are not receiving any data.

The FMS will accept a flight plan from the World Map or loaded from a file (e.g. downloaded from SimBrief) and will fly the plane on that plan.  The G3000 can fly a STAR and provides good VNAV guidance.  The G1000 works perfectly as it follows a flight plan.  The plan can be as complex as necessary with dozens of fixes/waypoints.

BUT - I cannot make Direct To work as needed (it had been working perfectly until very recently).  If I enter a unique FIX ID (e.g VP400) the FMS says it cannot find that fix (despite it being in the active fix in the flight plan).  If I enter a FIX ID that exists somewhere else in the world, i.e. other than where I am flying, the FMS can find the remote fix (even if the remote fix is in the US where I am). The FMS does not find the FIX that Navigraph or the Nearest function in the G3000 shows to be local to my flight when I try to manually enter the FIX ID into the FMS.

If I try to add a waypoint to the flight plan (while in flight) - I am told the waypoint does not exist - despite it appearing in Navigraph and Nearest in the G3000.

The flight plan includes a destination airport, e.g. KBUR, but when I try to load an arrival or approach - the FMS will only display the VISUAL approaches.  RNAV and ILS or VOR approaches are never displayed, even at monsters such as LAX.

In World Map - all SIDS, STARS, Approaches are AUTOMATIC - I cannot specify a procedure even in Low or High Altitude flight plans.

But - IF I create a SimBrief approach with a STAR and ILS or RNAV approach and save it to the Sim - then when I load that flight plan into the plane to fly - it works perfectly.  When I load flight plans which, I created last week or last month in World Maps flight planner - they load and work perfectly but I cannot recreate the .pln if I want an approach or arrival.

In summary - when flight plans are created with fixes the FMS uses them.

When I try to manually reference a Fix or Intersection in the Sim (G1000 or G3000) the FMS does not recognize the fix - even when it appears in the Nearest List.

Any ideas?
