November 24, 20214 yr Hello, I just bought the GNS 530 for P3D V5. Everything installed well, and the panel installed into A2A Comanche and runs well. But I cannot power up the trainer. The program runs, but clicking on the power-up button results in nothing happening. Any advice appreciated.
November 24, 20214 yr Hi, Can you please post the content of the RXP log files? (see RXP User's Manual for file/path) What is the "power-up" button you're referring to?
November 25, 20214 yr Author I downloaded a similar trainer direct from Garmin site and this one works fine. The power-up button refers to the switching on of the GPS unit for the first time. Supposed to click on the volume button but nothing happened.

I'm glad you've found out a solution! 21 hours ago, LEP said: The power-up button refers to the switching on of the GPS unit for the first time. Supposed to click on the volume button but nothing happened. By default, the GNS power knob only controls volume. This is meant so that new users can experience a working GNS on first install right away. However you can configure this via the GNS Settings Panel to not only enable the power on/off position, but to also configure whether you load the GNS powered or not (i.e. volume knob at the OFF position, or just one notch up).
December 9, 20214 yr Author Hi Jean-Luc, I am opening this post up again because I separately installed the GNS trainer that comes with the new V2 version onto another Win-10 PC but also encountered the same problem of not being able to power up the trainer. I set compatibility to XP Service Pack 3, and set to admin start, but still the power button would not do anything. Is there something else I may do? Would like to set up this trainer on another comp so that I may set up the flight plan database offline from the simulator.
December 9, 20214 yr The GNS Trainer 3.3 included with the product can't power up standalone. It is expected.
December 10, 20214 yr Author Okay noted on that, thanks. Would be so good if it could be made to power up on its own.
June 20, 20232 yr After loading RXP in P3Dv5.4 Windows 10 Pro successfully, I clicked the window to selection an aircraft. I placed the 530 on the windshield to the left. I click OK and what came up was the 530 with the entire Garmin 295 superimposed on the 530's screen in its entirety and an error message: F1GNS Error Incompatible 64-bit simulator version I don't know why this has happened since the install went perfectly? What did I do wrong or is something missing. Thanks, Pat. P.S. AVSIM—YOUR FORM(s) IS WAY TO COMPLICATED, to many confusing forms to place a QUERY, I hope this is the location? All I am looking for is Reality XP (Flight 1) Garmin 750/530 not displaying properly.
