GPS/NAV/Autopilot doesn't connect to 750!

Recommended Posts

Something weird happens as follow: (X-Plane11 11.55 OpenGL. Test aircraft: Airfoillabs KingAir350, Thranda DHC-2, Thranda PC-6, Aerobask Lancair RG, JRollon SF-260, Torquesim SR22, but only SF-260 did work finely)

The first weird thing occurred about 2 months ago. It seems after 750's update, Airfoillabs KingAir350 start to against 750. The GPS/NAV/Autopilot doesn't connect to 750. However, there are more and more aircraft starting to go wrong with it recently (I’m not sure if their problems occurred at the same time as the AFL350’s problems, it might be that I didn’t immediately notice them.)

Let's be more precisely:

As we knew, there are 3 pages is showed before fully entering the Home page, those in terms of Page1: with large Garmin logo and the yellow words, Page2: with its version and databases, and Page3: with "Instrument Panel Self-Test "

When I click Continue on the first page, CDI on the PFD display has not changed; Then click it on the second page, CDI changed, looks like it has connected to 750. But when click on the third page, the CDI instantly turn into Page1's statue

Then for some aircraft like Aerobask Lancair RG's PFD, the CDI just became unable to be switched from VLOC1/2 to GPS1

Some like Airfoillabs KingAir350, the CDI can be switched to GPS, but do nothing with 750, it just died there.

And the Thranda PC-6 even doesn't show the 750 in its panel editor(I'm not sure what it is called, it just a function DIY your own avionic layout by Thranda), it will normally show in there(the 750 was already been switched on in Plugins)

---

Also, another weird thing is that whatever I download the v6.70 or v6.72 of GTN Trainer, it will only show v6.62.4 in the game which is the old version and unable to be deleted from Garmin Trainer

---

And these are what I have done to try to solve that problem but not working:

Reenter the game

Restart the 750 in Plugins

Re-download the GTN750 and Garmin Trainer

Tried three different versions of GTN Trainer inside Garmin's Trainer, those in terms v6.62, v6.70, v6.72

Verify XP11's files integrity in Steam

Click "Optimize the Settings File"

PLEASE! The GTN750 is the most crucial plugin in XP11 for me by far, A lot of aircraft will lose 50% of interest if without it, REALLY!

HELPS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

The latest GTN trainer which is compatible is 6.62.4 and it gets installed with the RXP GTN. We're not publishing an update compatible with the more recent GTN trainer versions yet, but this will come later (next year most likely).

As for the GTN / Instruments problem, if you're finding all of a sudden everything starts to break down, I'd first suspect a recent plugin update in your system. It is also possible all these aircraft got updated and are now failing, but I doubt they would all go wrong in their own way all of a sudden.

Since the log files are not showing anything peculiar, the only remaining cause if not the aircraft, or a plugin, is that your RXP GTN per-aircraft configuration file (RealityXP.GTN.ini) has been damaged. However and again, I doubt all your configuration files for all these aircraft would all go wrong all of a sudden as well.

I'd suggest you first assess whether the RXP GTN is working as expected with a stock aircraft like the Baron and let me know how it goes.
