May 18, 200620 yr I was using aerotransport.org to run a search in Singapore airlines, and found a link saying they were utilisng the Fokker F.27.Following the link, I reached this page:http://www.aerotransport.org/php/go.php?qu...gapore+AirlinesI do not recall SQ using the Fokker aircraft, so it must of being used somehwere in the early 70's when Singapore Airlines was first established.Does anyone know where I can get any photographic evidence of this?I would love to see a SQ F.27!
May 18, 200620 yr What is more interesting, Malaysi Airlines even operated a Boeing 737-BBJ!!!Could someone paint one with the Project Opensky model? ;)http://www.aerotransport.org/php/go.php?qu...laysia+Airlines

May 19, 200620 yr Hi Contaegious,When MSA split up into MAS and SIA all the Fokker F27-100's went to MAS.Up until May 1974 SIA had no Fokkers and I notice the aircraft in question F27-500 has Singaporean registration 9V-BCN and was onsold to NAC in New Zealand. NAC officially ceased to exist in 1978 so that means SIA (leased?/purchased) the aircraft somewhere between mid 1974 to whenever it was sold to NAC. (but no later than 1978)Sorry no picsCheers,Roger Cheers, Roger http://forum.avsim.net/public/styles_images/flags/au.png
