December 10, 20214 yr Started to lurk in this forum and it's my first post. A quick background - I have used FSX and previous versions of Flight Simulator going back to running on intel 8088 with a keyboard (we've come a long way). I am also a private pilot (not current). I have never gotten deeply involved and therefore majority of my setups in the past have been on a laptop (with a joystick), on a PC with cheap yokes and rudders. I want to build my first SIM and have been watching YT videos and read whatever I can. Nice to meet you all. Most graphics cards I am seeing have 4 outputs and my basic question is that if I want three monitors for displays and two for cockpit displays (ex. G1000 dual monitor touchscreen setup), what are you guys running to support that configuration (dual cards? or perhaps use the on board VGA out if you have one?). I keep hearing FS doesn't support multiple monitors but did see posts related to NVIDIA drivers which support the extend desktop configurations so I get that part. Bottom line, I have seen all sorts of videos that go into gross details around arduino, air manager, all that stuff but haven't found much which talks about how they hooked up all these monitors to one PC. Thank you.
December 10, 20214 yr Administrators I have moved your topic into the appropriate forum that deals with monitor type questions. Too many problems with the new Sims! 😱Trying to keep peace and harmony and the will of Landru on the site seems to be a full time job!
December 10, 20214 yr Author Thanks and sorry about that. I should have seen "no hardware posts" in this section of the forum.
December 18, 20214 yr Author In hindsight my question was extremely simple and I realize now why no one bothered to answer.
