December 26, 20214 yr Hello everybody Merry Christmas and a happy, Covid-free new year! I bought a Thustmaster Hotas One at black friday sale. I plugged it in, installed the firmware, set all the buttons and axis – everything worked fine. Until I turned off my computer. When I resarted it, the joystick was dead. I had to unplug & plug again – bing – everything worked again. It is like that now all the time: I always have to unplug & replug. Good for my fitness, bad for my nerves 😉 How can I install the device for good? Regards Michael
December 27, 20214 yr I think you have to shut off 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' in Windows Control Panel / Device Manager. Setting up Windows power management option checkbox to stop closing all USB ports will not work. You must deny Windows closing every single USB Controller and Human Interface Device on your system. You right click every single line and select Properties | Power Management and uncheck the box. Every Windows update you have to unset them all over again!🤓 There's 45 of them all together. No single checkbox in Control Panel options will do this same task reliably. You have to do all of these (or at least the ones which have the 'Power Management' folder). December 27, 20214 yr Author Shut them all off, no change. What a mess. I had an old joystick with no problems at all... True "plug an play". Should say "plug, unplug, plug, unplug (no play)"
