December 29, 20214 yr I had an issue and wanted to use system restore, only to find there were no backups to restore from. Windows clears out old system restore points. If you aren't continually creating new restore points, then you may have run out when you need them. Compared to the size of drives, restore points are tiny and use almost no space. It's really easy to make Windows create a restore point every time you startup Windows. But it takes some time to go through the steps to set it up. But you only have to do that once. I don't really notice it's taking longer to boot up Windows either, but it probably is. https://www.howtogeek.com/278388/how-to-make-windows-automatically-create-a-system-restore-point-at-startup/ 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
