May 5, 200719 yr Hello all. I just started a cross Canada trip from Bella Bella and plan on going all the way across to the eastern tip, its going to be lots of fun!But I ran into a problem today that I was hoping somebody might have some input on.I was cleared for landing on runway 12 at CYQQ (Comox, British Columbia) and tuned into the localizer freq 111.70 for that runway. I got vectored in for straight in approach and visibilty was more than 20 miles so i could see the runway easily. When I lined up with instrument i look out and am probably 20 degrees of the runway, so I visually changed and lined up with the runway and came in for a nice smooth landing (which was suprising, i've only been simming for about 5 weeks and am not very good). SO my question is is it an error with FSX that causes the runway to not be where it is supposed to be, or is there something I should have done with my instruments to be properly oriented to the runway when flying an ILS approach? Thanks.

May 5, 200719 yr ok thanks. Like i said i'm fairly new at simming and haven't gotten into plugging all kinds of other stuff into FSX for fear of screwing something upbut thanks for the respone
May 6, 200719 yr Author There are other airports in Canada with ILS issues.Do an advance search on author Jim Vile will help you choose some or all the airports I have worked on.My bgl files for both FS9 and FSX are very simple in design and are also 100 percent compliant per Version of FS.If you don't like the change that is made to the FS you simply delete the bgl file and FS reverts back to its original state on startup.
