May 7, 200719 yr Couldn't you pull (fsuipc.dll) your location from FSX and feed it to Google Earth, let it download the tiles and then just steal them from the directory where they are stored.I'm not trying to be-little your wonderful achievment, just trying to understand it.
May 8, 200719 yr I'm not an expert, but I don't think GE stores the tiles in a format that can be used by 3rd parties. Also, I don't think there is an API that allows direct access to the source imagery that Google Earth uses.
May 8, 200719 yr There must be a more complete high res set available somehow, somehwere... other than what GE or VE provides.I suspect it costs.al
May 8, 200719 yr I don't think anyone else comes close to Google in terms of how much coverage they have word wide.Matt
May 8, 200719 yr Author How about letting TileProxy run without FSX. Just file a flight plan and let the program cache all of the scenery for you ahead of time. And how can I compile all of these new tiles into my BGL library for permanent use. How many Gigabytes or Terabytes to download most of the planet or only the 10% that I will ever use ????
