January 21, 20224 yr Commercial Member In short, I have a good 'ol Intel i7-2700k that I am OC to 4.8GHz. I Notice using CPU-Z that it will drop down to 1600MHz depending on what I am doing and that is great, not always pegged to the max. Cooler temps/longer life (Ha, it's going on what 10 years now!) Anywho, I just overclocked an AMD Phenom ii 1090t to 4GHz but it is always at 4GHz. Can I somehow have that "scale"as well? Some setting in BIOS?
