CaptainSim Repaints Covert To PMDG

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

This may come across to most if not all as a ridiculous question, however I am wondering if there is a way to convert a CaptainSim 777-200er (rr) repaint to the PMDG 777-200er (rr)? I am wondering as there are multiple repaints of a livery I would like that are currently available for the CaptainSim 772er but are nonexistent for the PMDG 772er. If anyone could give some insight or just a short answer on this that would be much appreciated.

Best Regards,

Todu777.

Truth be told, I do not own the CS777. I have painted (unpublished) a few PMDG 777's.

I quickly looked at a CS777 repaint to confirm what I suspected...and you can confirm for yourself.

If you view the two textures side by side, you'll clearly see that the aircraft components are laid out differently between the two models. It simply will not work.

You're better off to try to find a painter willing to paint the liveries you are looking for. With the PMDG 777 being available for as long as it has, I would be surprised that there isn't a livery already available for a real world airline.

Thanks, I have been trying to find a specific livery but it’s only available for CS777 therefore I posted that question. To my li ka no suprise, after some digging I have found the exact livery I was searching for and luckily it’s for the PMDG 772 er.

Cheers!
