May 16, 200719 yr OK.. I think we may need a sticky for this topic too.Well anyway.. I took out these Pre SP1 tweeks I had from the fS9.cfg OR rather..I didnt' add any tweaks to the default FS9.cfg (I delete the old one and started fSX).So my Q is.. do any of these tweeks still apply post SP1?TEXTURE_BANDWIDTH_MULT=360TextureMaxLoad=10FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION=0.33[bufferPools]PoolSize=5000000[Terrain]TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_TREES_PER_CELL=4500TERRAIN_MAX_AUTOGEN_BUILDINGS_PER_CELL=1000--------------------------------------------------------second, QI see Phil's Blog has some new Tweaks recommednation.http://blogs.msdn.com/ptaylor/default.aspxI don't understand some of them.a. What should be my value for Dual core (Since I amreaching 100% utilization often) should I put an entry as AffinityMask=2 (since I have dual core?)[JOBSCEDULER]AffinityMask=nwhere n num of cores scheduled1 = 1 core 00013 = 2 cores 00117 = 3 cores 011115= 4 cores 1111Third Q.I have heavy stutters/Pause where there isa dip in the core 1 CPU usage. What are the things I can do to reduce this to a minimum?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/171731.jpgSee the dip on the core1.. those are where the sim pauses for a few seconds.... May 16, 200719 yr I also don't understand this...so what number of frames should we use, higher or lower than 30?< There is additional code to reduce blurries. If you get random texture tiles that appear in a solid color this may help.< In some cases, the textures generated from this code can get throttled and will be timed out. The time out config value is< [TERRAIN] SWAP_WAIT_TIMEOUT=< The default is 30 frames.
