Issues with RXP GNS530 after using Vulkan driver (resolved)

Featured Replies

Hi,

I use x-plane 11 with the reality xp gns530. So far, my loading times from the main menu to the flight have been between 7-20 minutes. Now I have set "Use Vulkan driver for faster rendering" in the X-Plane settings under "Graphics" and my loading time has dropped to 30 seconds. Since then, however, my GNS530 has unfortunately been displayed very distorted and illegible.

see link: https://imgur.com/a/psP369B

Unfortunately, reinstalling the GNS530 didn't help either.

What can I do to get the display back to normal? Disabling the Vulkan drivers is not an option if it takes 20 minutes to load each time.

Best regards,

Jonathan

Hi,

Thank you for the screenshot, this is helping a lot to understand what the problem is!

This is not supposed to display like this even with in VK. What is your video card brand/model and driver versions?

Hi,

your hint was very useful.

The problem is solved by downgrading the AMD driver to version 21.7.2.

Thanks a lot!

Jonathan

I'm glad you've sorted this out, even if this required downgrading the driver only because of the known XP11/VK/AMD issue. Let's hope they'll update their drivers and cure this in the future.
