Hello gents,Anyone else see bad trees in FSX SP1? In SP1 they cheating by removing trees infront of plane. Even in the air low to ground.The trees also pop in & out too. It real ruins my flights. Textures still blur & building also pop all the time. Very messing & ugly game. We would like a SP2 please micosoft because this is still bad programng but better cheating for fps. Try and delete FSX.CFG if you havenot already done so. This worked well for me.

Wow,Our systems doesn't differ that much, but I get excellent graphics and fps in FSX SP1. And so does other people with our kind of hardware as well.Did you do a clean install of FSX before installing SP1? It seems people have had issues with add on AI-traffic files and default FSX traffic file activated at the same time.Have you benchmarked your hardware to make sure it's healthy and performs as it should (3DMark and such)?Have you looked over any FSX pre SP1 tweaks and adopted the new SP1 tweaks? Yes there is some popup in Sp1 but Phil already explained this in his blog. Like he said they needed to cut the "fade in" for autogen objects. You cant have everything!Did you try a clean install? Uninstall FSX, reinstall FSX then install SP1 then defrag. Worked great for me!

If all else fails, run the check disk utility, reboot then remove unnecessary files, defrag and re-boot. Finally, run a registry cleaner like registryfix and optimize the registry with NT Registry optimiser. I find many strange problems disappear after this process. You should definitely be getting much better results. My system is not as good as yours and I can run most settings maxed, only exceptions are water (low 2x), traffic (high) and light bloom (off, unless flying with Horizon's photo-realistic UK scenery; would you believe 60fps without and 30 fps with bloom!).Cheers,Noel.

I did re-istall fsx before sp1 patch. I run bloom offwater reflecton off,trees dense(it looks flat & boring without trees)ground shadows onscenery complex dense. I get 20-30fps. 6-10 over tokyo. UGH, don't go there.All my other games look great & run at 100fps +Only FSX is ugly & runs slow.Maybe this is normal but I would like 60fps & the textures to not smudge all the time I changes views. I'm I asking to much? & this program is badly programed?FSX does't look as nice as everything else so it should run better because the graphics are simple.lots of fps is important for flying planes. FSX is to ugly & jerky.Are there any other flightsimulators from Ubisoft or EA coming out?Microsoft haven't done a very good job on this one I think.

UGH, don't go there.I run with ground shadows off and water at low 2.x. Gives some extra fps. Having shadows on when flying over dense urban areas is a fps killer on my pc.Ulf B
