Jump your view thru the plane's doors (any plane).

With many planes (but not all), if you translate the cockpit camera left it stops at the left door and you can't translate further. But there is a way. Start with the normal cockpit view.

1 Translate view left as far as it will allow (e.g. to the left side door).

2 Switch to COPILOT view (overhead handlebar menu, CAMERA, PILOT, COPILOT).

3 Again translate left as far as possible ( to the left side door).

4 Switch back to PILOT view (overhead menu). You will instantly jump left beyond and outside the door.

5 Immediately save that view as a custom view  (in your normal way e.g. Control ALT 1).

6 Reset your cockpit view (in your normal way e.g. Control+Space).

7 Load that new custom view (your normal way e.g. ALT 1). It will jump you outside again.

8 Move the view around to where you like it (zoom, pan, translate) and then save like you did in 5).

Now you have a custom view outside the plane you can load anytime during a flight.

Using  the obvious backwards procedure you can translate out the right side door to create a view there too.

(Number 4 is the key step, it gets you outside the plane)!
