March 2, 20224 yr Hi all. Took a flight in Australian skies, up in the North territories somewhere last night. Took off in heavy rain, so I just decided to climb up through it as best as I could in an ultralight. Not the greatest of ideas, given hardly any instrumentation, but I was able to keep my wings level thanks to the name tags of other players. But I digress….. Once I was in the thick of the really deep cloud base, the clouds turned to huge polygon, 2D panels. I thought it was just a temporary glitch, but it persisted. I came out of it, and into the graphics menu, made a couple of minor changes so that the gfx card (3090) would get a bit of a refresh. However, upon resuming, the battle of the polygons persisted. As I finally began to see sunlight, just before breaking through the clouds, there was a sudden snap back to sensible, normal looking clouds. Never had this happen before. Has it been introduced with SU8, or did my system have an off day? 5950X, RTX3090, 32GB@3600, Samsung Evo NVME 1TB, Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswinds, Reverb G2.
March 2, 20224 yr Could it be a heat issue? I always remember getting artifacts when I had temperature problems. Regards, Max (YSSY) i7-12700K | Corsair Vengeance LPX 64GB 3600MHz DDR4 | Gigabyte RTX4090 24Gb | Gigabyte Z690 AORUS ELITE DDR4 | Corsair HX1200 PSU

But, I would very much doubt it. I didn’t fly for long last night, and the ambient temperature was decidedly chilly. I’ve flown prolonged periods in the height of summer previously, many a time without issue. Although I shall monitor temps next outing as a precautionary measure. 5950X, RTX3090, 32GB@3600, Samsung Evo NVME 1TB, Warthog HOTAS, MFG Crosswinds, Reverb G2.
