March 4, 20224 yr Hello, the remote MCDU from AAO (WebAPI) is not working properly. here is what i did: download and install lorby AAO: https://axisandohs.weebly.com/downloads.html download the "WebAPI web server examples: buttons, gauge and FMC": https://axisandohs.weebly.com/downloads.html Run AAO once and then close it (no need to start the sim), in order to let the program create the folder in your documents folder ("Documents/LorbyAxisAndOhs Files/WebPages") Move the "wtcj4fmc" folder from the zip-File of #2 above, into "Documents/LorbyAxisAndOhs Files/WebPages" Drop the "zzz-lorbysi-aao-wtcj4fmc" folder from the zip-File of #2 into your own "Community" folder start AAO in Admin Mode, got to Tools>Enable Web API on port 9080 and tick that option to on Start the sim, connect AAO to the sim, load the aircraft issues: when i call the IP adress localhost:9080 (or my PC's IP:9080) on my pc running the sim, the browser brings up a "Not Found HTTP Error 404. The requested resource is not found." when calling the ip (Mozilla Firefox as well as Edge). when i call http://localhost:9080/webapi/wtcj4fmc/index.html on my pc running the sim i get the picture of the MCDU and the button animation works when i click them. However, clicking a button on the browsers MCDU does not change anything on the MCDU (nor in the sim nor in the browser mcdu). i tried Edge and Firefox. when i call http://192.x.x.x:9080/webapi/wtcj4fmc/index.html (ip of PC running AAO and Sim) on my windows tablet, i got a network timeout as error in my browser. Note, that for example navigraph (plane live position) on the tablet has no issues to connect to my pc running the sim and navigraph - so the network should not be the problem note: when i go to Tools>Port settings for AAO addons, the "zzz-lorbysi-aao-wtcj4fmc" is showing up on the small window called "Web API definitions in associated modules" edit: oh and the green "LED" within AAO is green, and it says Cessna CJ4 Citation Asobo. I have the WT CJ4 v0.12.12 installed. any assitance is much appreciated. thanks a lot! Edited March 4, 20224 yr by r_flo15

What file are you trying to access? Just entering "localhost:9080" into the address bar is invalid and causes an error - the browser requires "something" that it can access (like a html page) 1 hour ago, r_flo15 said: when i call http://localhost:9080/webapi/wtcj4fmc/index.html on my pc running the sim i get the picture of the MCDU and the button animation works when i click them. Make sure that "lorbysi-content-hooks" is present in your Community folder, the installer should have placed it there. 1 hour ago, r_flo15 said: so the network should not be the problem The network is always the problem. Either the security settings on the tablet or on the PC, or a second app blocking port 9080 on either device. Please note that these instruments do not work with old(er) iPads, as those devices can't handle HTML5 (= web FMCs don't work with any older hardware that doesn't support current browsers). But in that case you get a black screen, usually without an error message. On another note: 1. Please note that what you download from the AAO site is only the DEMO version of AAO. But, if it doesn't work, please don't go and buy the retail version anyway, because that won't work either. 2. The Web FMCs on that site are only examples that I provided to show what can be done with the AAO webserver. They are not constantly supported or updated, since they are not part of the AAO retail package. With assets like these, proper functionality cannot be guaranteed, since the aircraft that they are built for are constantly being updated as well. That being said, the Web FMCs have just been updated today to reflect changes after SU8 (but the change in the CJ4 is so minor that it can be ruled out as the cause of your problems) Edited March 4, 20224 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI

Now the folder is there and i can control the MCDU of the WT CJ4 via a browser on my PC running also the sim. the windows tablet still brings ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT. 5 hours ago, Lorby_SI said: The network is always the problem. But in that case you get a black screen, usually without an error message. okay, maybe the port is the problem. i checked in windows defender the ingoing and outgoing rules, and the monitor/fireall for localports and remoteports. there was no port 9080 displayed there (even if AAO was running) - on my PC running the sim and AAO. i did the same thing on my tablet, but no entry stating port 9080. note: tablet network mode is set to private (and not to public). any hints to rule out which is causing the conflict. or is it maybe easier and faster to try the workaround and manually enter a different port and try this one instead? (change the port in AAO, in the js file in the community package, and in the web link that you call ) ?? 5 hours ago, Lorby_SI said: On another note: 1. Just make sure that the sim etc. is not running at that point. Many people try port 6080 first. Make sure that you have incoming and outgoing firewall rules for the (TCP) port that you want to use. (change the port in AAO, in the js file in the community package, and in the web link that you call ) ?? okay. i changed the port in the file ...\Community\zzz-lorbysi-aao-wtcj4fmc\html_ui\Pages\VCockpit\Instruments\Airliners\CJ4\FMC\CJ4_FMC.js to 32111. I changed the port in AAO Tools> Port Settings for Web in the field "WebAPI port" to 32111. AAO was running in admin mode. Within Tools>Port settings for AAO Addons i checked that the port-number in the headline is the new one 32111 and in the list showing the community addon. i clicked apply and restartet AAO in admin mode afterwards. Result: MCDU is showing and working properly on browser of the pc running the sim. the windows tablet still brings ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT.
March 4, 20224 yr Author appreciate your help. i tried your suggested port 6080. tablet still brings the same ERR_ within the windows firewall i set the following on my pc running the sim&AAO, and on my tablet - rule for ingoing connection, allowed TCP port 6080 for local and remote port - rule for outgoing connection, allowed TCP port 6080 for local and remote port there is still the timeout on my tablet.

I'm sorry, but I don't know what else to tell you. I'm not a network security specialist by any stretch of the imagination. Maybe the tablet has a firewall too, or your router is blocking it, or your AntiVirus is - I have no idea. I while ago I compiled a troubleshooting guide PDF from the hints that I got from fellow simmers about the matter, and that document is available for download on the AAO website too. But from the looks of it, you have that covered already. Edited March 4, 20224 yr by Lorby_SI LORBY-SI
March 15, 20224 yr Author @Lorby_SI thanks for the help. but found no solution which was making the remote MCDU to work. for all the ppl who also cannot get the AAO remote MCDU to work, here is an alternative: https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/614266-another-remote-fmc-for-wt-cj4/?tab=comments#comment-4714495 Edited March 15, 20224 yr by r_flo15 link changed
