March 6, 20224 yr This is my attempt to persuade MSFS to use the correct runways for the current/local weather conditions. My impression is that ATC and AIG use the core sim LIVE/METAR info - and that any subsequent weather injected by REX Weather Force (or similar) will affect your aircraft and local conditions, but not AI traffic and ATC. The following steps may look a little daunting, but it's not so much *what* you do, it's the *order* in which you do them. The procedure becomes a habit after a few sessions (honest!). NOTE: You'll need to go to MSFS Options/DATA and set Live Weather to ON. Startup/DEPARTURE 1. Start the Map Enhancement Tool (if you use it). 2. Launch MSFS (via Addons Linker if you use it). 3. Start REX Weather Force but **do NOT Start Weather Synthesis (yet)**. 4. In the MSFS main menu screen, select the aircraft, departure airport etc. but in FLIGHT CONDITIONS, set the weather to LIVE Weather. 5. If desired, click on the small blue *LIVE button to set to the current time. 6. Click on FLY NOW . 7. Launch the AIG Controller. 8. When AIG has finished loading and is showing the map, click on READY TO FLY . 9. Go to the the top menu and set the Weather to CLEAR SKIES. 10. Go to REX Weather Force and start Weather Synthesis. Check to see if it all adds up: 11. Go to the the MSFS top menu and open the FSPM VFR Map (or similar) to check the wind speed/direction. 12. As a double check, open ATC and query ATIS. For short flights, it's likely that the ARRIVAL weather will be the same as set up in DEPARTURE but for longer flights it may be necessary to re-do the LIVE Weather/REX Weather steps: ARRIVAL 13. When nearing your ARRIVAL airport, stop REX Weather Synthesis. 14. Go to the (in-flight) top menu and select WEATHER. 15. Set it to LIVE (and adjust the time if necessary). 16. This may (or may not!!) update where AIG gets its arrival info from. 17. Go to the the top menu and set the Weather to CLEAR SKIES. 18. Restart REX Weather Synthesis. Let me know if this works for you! Edited March 6, 20224 yr by Adamski_NZ
