March 24, 20224 yr Forgive me if this has been posted previously, but I noticed today that when the XBOX app had been updated, there was what seemed like a ridiculously easy way of creating an MSFS desktop shortcut that I hadn't known about. After starting the XBOX app, its windows goes dark until (I'm just guessing here) it updates and reinstalls itself. It then presents its "home" window in which "Microsoft Flight Simulator" should appear in the side bar on the left. Hover the mouse above those words, and click on the three vertical dots which appear Click on those dots and a dropdown menu appears, one item of which is "Create desktop shortcut" Go on, you know you want to do it. Click on that item. Voila, you get a brand spanking new MSFS desktop item, which seems to work fine. Cheers.
