Need advice gang...scenery complexity...hmmmm

Featured Replies

Much thanks in advance for reading this...I know everyone and their brother has been dealing with this issue. ; )I found that on my machine with SP1, that my biggest culprit for FPS is (for some reason!) the AIRPORT building textures. I have played around with traffic, water, light bloom, autogen, and more and I have found that around airports (larger ones) with scenery complexity maxed, I will get 7-8 FPS. But, when I put scenery complexity to the middle of the slider, I will gain about 10 FPS. This is ONLY around airports as when I leave the airport area, my FPS shoot back into the 20's. My culprit seems to be airport building textures only. So, does this make any sense? LOLAre there replacement airport building textures out there for download...and can anyone test my scenario to see if they get the same results? I love having more buildings depicted around airports, so I hope I can fix this.THANKS!Bob

Which slider is that controlled by?Global texture?scenery?

It's under settings, display, scenery, and under the "scenery objects" area on the right...the slider is called "Scenery Complexity".Thanks!Bob
