May 22, 200719 yr Hi: AllI have down loaded SP1 for FSX,(many times) and get a error missage when trying to install saying "is not a vaild Win 32 application" I did do a NEW install on FSX before trying to install SP1?My system is a AMD Athion 64X2 Dual 3800 processor with 2.0 GHZ 3.00 GB RAM. running Windows XP PRO.CheersBuda1
May 22, 200719 yr Is the file downloading with a .exe extension? The file name should be fsx_sp1_ENU.exe (english version) . Even if you see a .exe extension try renaming the file to something like SP1.exe (by typing the whole name) and see if that helps. Can you execute other .exe files? May 24, 200719 yr DougThanks for your input on the problem I was having! it give me a starting point. I tried all the trouble shooting steps and I still had no luck? I have a neighbor that also so has Hughes Satellite internet system like mine and I had him down load the SP1 update! and Low & behold the Bloody thing installed,(it was a clear day) I remember when I was down loading the SP1 we had a storm coming in to the area? which could & Did mess up my three down loads of SP1! go figure??? so I'm up & Running and waiting for PIC/Feelthere to come up with a patch for the B737-300/400/500 ACFT. so I can really enjoy FSX???CheersSki
