April 1, 20224 yr Another "is it just me" question. I've noticed that a number of VOR stations I could pick up from a good distance in previous versions, in MSFS in have to be very close. For example, the YOW VOR is the one nearest me, freq 114.60. I used to be able to get it almost 200nm away, now I sometimes can't get it much further than 20 - 40 nm out. April 2, 20224 yr Author Yes, that is modelled (or at least was.) For example, in NYC the VOR at KLAG had a range of about 60 nm while the one at KJFK had a range of about 200. I haven't tried them in this version.
