April 4, 20224 yr Unable to get voice control to work. I have followed the FS2Crew Voice Control Setup & Help to the letter and I still will not work. The VoiceRecog64.dll loads successfully. But when I go into settings and change the interface method to voice control I get an error box that says Warning! Unable to activate Speech Recognition. In the log I get two messages. Attempting to start the voice recognition engine ... and ERROR - Couldn't START the voice recognitions engine. Error code returned: 0x8889000b. If anyone can help fix this...Please help! Thanks!
April 4, 20224 yr Commercial Member Hi, Question: Do you have any antivirus running?....because antiviruses like Kaspersky can block the microphone for certain applications. In my case, Kaspersky asks/prompts me everytime, if i want to give access to the program for voice recognition. Cheers, Manuel
April 4, 20224 yr Commercial Member Whats the language you have setup for the speech recognition?, Can you take a screenshot? Manuel
April 10, 20224 yr Author I have it set to English US. I walked through the troubleshooting guide multiple times making sure of every step.
April 10, 20224 yr Commercial Member I think I found something about this error: "Buffer cannot be accessed because a stream reset is in progress" "Audio Client (Audio stream between an audio application and the audio engine (for a shared-mode stream) or the hardware buffer of an audio endpoint device (for an exclusive-mode stream))" https://www.hresult.info/FACILITY_AUDCLNT/0x8889000B This is weird error, seems another application is using a shared-mode stream, maybe you have Windows' application using speech recognition in shared-mode, is there any other speech recognition application running too? Manuel
April 17, 20224 yr Author I am not aware of any other Windows application that is using speech recognition. And quite honestly, I am not sure how I would know if there was an application using it.
