May 22, 200719 yr I have finally managed to tweak my Sp-1 into a smooth running almost not stuttering joy to fly. However, unlike pre patch FSX my settings will not work consistently with various places. I used St. Maarten as my testing ground and am flying at a pretty cosistent 28fps (locked) with most scenery sliders to the right except water(mid2x), mesh(10m), cloud draw(60mi), cloud coverage(medium), commercial(30), gA(22), vehicles(25), ships(75), boats(70). No lens flare or light bloom (not very different than my pre-patch settings with overall gain of 10fps). On pre Sp-1, my fps would just drop according(with some FPS fluctuation) to graphic load of flight area and micro stuttering would result and I could keep the same settings in almost all areas except major cities. Now I take the same settings to Lake Tahoe(not major city) and get massive stuttering with severe FPS fluctuations making it almost unflyable. Looks like I have to have a seperate cfg. file for different areas in addition to slider moving. Anyone else having similar problems? Will
May 22, 200719 yr Author St. Maarten is fairly easy area for flight simulation - mostly water. You can't even compare it with Lake Tahoe. Adjust your settings based on 'hard' scenery not an easy one.Michael J.http://img142.imageshack.us/img142/9320/apollo17vf7.jpg Michael J.
