May 23, 200719 yr I see Just Flight is releasing a DC10 for FSX on May 25. Any one seen the beta and know if it is any good or not? I am very upset because last year the day FSX came out I bought it and I deleted FS9 and all my heavy planes like PMDG 737, 747, DreamFleet 727 and Cap Sim C150. Stupid me I thought I read where the FSX developement team was working close with add-on plane developers like DreamFleet and PMDG so that when FSX was released, existing add-ons would work directly or with some minor patches. Boy, was I wrong. So I have not flown any airline planes since then. So I see that the DC10 is coming out shortly and I need to get my heavy airliner fix so I was wondering if the DC10 is worth the US $40...Joe C.
May 23, 200719 yr I've just ordered this. I believe it is the CLS version(s) transposed on to disc. Think there's a couple of threads kicking about. From what I can see, it's no PMDG or LDS but then again I'm one of the easily pleased great unwashed who just likes to fly his favourite heavy iron without having to spend more time setting up the FMC than doing the flight. Also less headaches setting it up for FS Passengers.
May 23, 200719 yr Joe,I think it will be a while before we are out of the FSX heavy iron drought. If I were you I'd reinstall FS9 and your listed addons then use that as your heavy iron set until mature FSX heavy iron addons are up for prime time.Gary 9800X3D | 4090 | 64GB | 2+1TB NVME | 2TB SSD | 2TB HDD | 85/50/43” TVs | Quest 3 | DOF H3 Motion Rig | Buttkicker | T.16000M Flight Kit MSFS @ 4K Ultra DLSS Performance FG 80 FPS | VR VDXR Godlike 80Hz SSW | MSFS VR DLSS Quality, Ultra Preset - Windows 11 Acer Nitro 5 | i5-11400H | RTX 3060 6 GB | 32GB DDR4 | 15.6" FHD IPS 144Hz | 2 x 512 GB SSD | Windows 11
May 24, 200719 yr Already have mate, along with a re-purchase of FS Passengers, which as I mentioned on another thread still offers far more than any of the FSX missions. Unfortunately in my initial euphoria over FSX I 'bayed alot of my FS9 add ons (including my PMDG 747 :( ) but gradually re-acquiring them now. The good news is that many of the new items being released by Just Flight are for both FS9 and FSX - programmes like FS Global, FScene and Traffic so it's possible to enhance both sims with just the one product (unlike certain other companies who want to shun FS9).
