Hey guys!

So yesterday I was doing a VATSIM flight QATARI68H from JFK to Doha. Over the Atlantic, the wind suddenly started changing directions. This caused my aircraft (77W) to drop airspeed while gain as well. Sometimes, it lost like about 10 knots and AP had to counteract by increasing thrust. But once, the wind change caused the aircraft to suddenly increase by 10 knots causing overspeed. Not only that, it also gained like 500 ft. To help drop the flight level and speed, I deployed speed brakes mid-air while cruising.

Is that how they do it in real life?

Thanks guys!

NorbertoGoyette,

If you are referring to my post I want to make it clear that I deserve NO credit for the linked content as I did NOT create it, I only linked to someone else's work - and yes, I also found it very informative.
