wrong airport and does not load traffic

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone. Have a nice day 🙂
I have had a problem for a couple of days, maybe since I installed the new version of PSXT or maybe after, however I only realized it yesterday.
I encounter the problem only in one airport, in that of Torinon, icao code LIMF.
It has always worked well but now when I load the PsxSeencon software in the bar below instead of being written LIMF, another Icao code came out, LIBU. I went to look for the xml file and I deleted it thinking of an error in that airfield made by third parties, now I get the code of another airport, that of LFLJ (courchevel), which could it be? how and where can i fix the error?
In this way
I cannot have traffic on Turin LIMF and I think it is loaded on those airports I am not flying onspacer.png

Check that you have  a LIMF.xml file in your stock_airports folder.

If not delete the stock_airports folder and let psxt generate your stock airports again, of use the ones from me, see FAQ 27

Verificare di avere un file LIMF.xml nella cartella stock_airports.

Se non elimini la cartella stock_airports e lascia che psxt generi di nuovo i tuoi aeroporti di stock, usa quelli da me, vedi FAQ 27

Hi, yes I also had Limf in the file, I had downloaded and used your file because it gave me error 44.
Now I have deleted the file and I have been recreated the empty folder but now it gives me error 44 again.
The first few times (older versions) I didn't even get error 44 now anything that does error 44 always comes to me (even following the manual) error 44 goes away only if I follow the faq n ° 27 that you gave me reported now. now I have ripovarto to reload your file but it gives me lerroer than before and I read that I am in another LFLJ airport.

Yes, I added error 44 to let you know that the scan for stock airports has failed.

You really need a LIMF.xml file otherwise PSXT will not recognise that you are at that airport.

I forgot to mention that I use a third party addons for Turin LIMF airport.
Now I have deleted it, I have also deleted all the contents of the addon_airports folder.
Now PSXseecon Traffic always reads me LFLJ, and RealTraffic as previously recognizes Turin and in fact is showing traffic near Caselle Torino LIMF.
So using the turin stock too, the error is always the same.
Then I did another test and I almost totally deleted the community folder (I left only airplanes and some addons like bijan)
and I went to LFLJ, it reads it to me correctly.
Then I also deleted everything concerning Ivao and Vatsim but the situation has not changed.
Is there anyone who can try if you also LIMF gives you this problem?
At least not to go crazy on my part to understand what it is, because now you can almost say that I have a clean installation of the simulator and I don't know where and what I could go to modify.

Now as xml x LIMF file I am using yours at the moment that I downloaded along with many others for stock_airports
I don't understand what happens, until a couple of days ago it worked perfectly.
What could I do to reset everything and reinstall again like it was the first time?
Is there any hidden file around maybe to be deleted manually that the unistall program does not delete?

You should have told me that you have a add-on airport....

Just make sure that PsXT_MSFS scans your addon airport. You should find a .xml file in your addon_airports folder, assuming you have installed that airport in the Community folder, if you use automatic scan.

If not use the afolder0 parameter to set a full path to where you have installed it and switch off automatic scan of addon airports.

Hi, I didn't specify that it was from third parties because I have many others and they all work perfectly, even this one offending now until a couple of days ago worked very well, so much so that I enjoyed the passages of real airplanes that passed over my head and I compared them with the simulator.
I'm not sure if it was after I installed the new version of Psxseecon, because more than anything else I fly in vfr with small airplanes and I start from small airfields, this is my deduction as the only change I made in the week of files it was with the program itself that is now giving me problems only with this airport.
The airport in question is in the same place (community folder) together with others that still work perfectly now, for other airports I use the addons linker and even those work perfectly for me, now while I write and test I am watching the live video of the KLAX airport of los Angeles comparing what I see on the simulator and it is perfect, a little while ago I was checking the one of Rome and Milan Malpensa and even there I did not notice any problems, so even if I think that there are no routing problems through the software you I link mine so you can see if you run into any problems.
I have never used the afolder0 parameter to set a full path because it has always worked for all the airports I use or have used.
The only thing I noticed today is that the main program files with its sub-folders are located in 😄 \ PSXT_MSFS, instead the parameters.xml file is located in another folder (C: \ Users \ xxxxxxx \ AppData \ Roaming \ PSXT_MSFS).
the only thing I still remember doing is using the Learner program setting LIMF as arrival airport, I don't remember exactly what and how I did it, but maybe I tried to do that action.
I am testing other airports and I have found that the same error happens, (put an airport close for example also to the MROC that exchanges it for me with MSRN also this (MROC I have used it previously and I had no problems and I was also seeing traffic from GA
Instead, the RealTraffic program reads airports and traffic perfectly, but is not injected into the sim by the Psxseecon that "misses airports"
What I can do is check if I find others, in order to compare them and understand the problem

6590 Liveries 16417 stock  535 addons airport

Check of you have LIMF in the airport_msfs.xml  file in the data folder, with the correct lat and lon.

Hi, yes, both Limf (Turin) and also MROC (Juan Santa Maria in Costa Rica) are available in the file, which I noticed have the same problem.

The one in Turin with the coordinates written

<airport code = "LIMF" iata = "TRN" lat = "45.2025" lon = "7.6494" alt = "958" /> which are correct,

MROC is also inserted in the file and has the correct coordinates.

Works perfect over here with the stock airport (I have a Store version, but that should not make any difference):

Who knows where this problem comes from, after reinstalling everything I left the comunity cartridge empty, so the sim is installed as if it were new and keeps giving me this error.
As they say in these parts "I turn the boxes" because this joke does it only in a few airports, too bad they are the ones I use the most otherwise I would not have noticed, but I would like to solve the problem because your mod is among those that the more I like them.
thanks for the answer and the test you did, I just have to format the entire hard disk, but if I don't understand what the problem is and it comes back I can't format the ssd again, it would become a bit long as a thing .. .. 🙂

No, don't do that. Don't think that is the problem.

I'll make a version with debug code in it for you, then we might see more..

Here a link to a PSXT_MSFS.exe with some debug info. Unzip and place the exe file over yours.

  1. Do not start it yet.
  2. Start MSFS, go to a parking position at LIMF airport.
  3. Start RT.
  4. Start PSXT_MSFS, wait till the airport file has been loaded. Then stop and post your Log.txt file here.

Part of it should be like this:

User ac is at 45.188586,7.645622
User ac is at the ground
User ac is at LIMF
User aircraft on the ground at LIMF (TRN)
The parking airport is LIMF (TRN)
15:07:32 Airport file parked_updates\LIMF.xml will be read

Hi, thank you for redoing the  .exe file for debug ,to check what the problem had been, but that night I decided to format the hard disk and I reinstalled everything starting from windows arriving at the simulator, then due to work I had to go away and I came back only yesterday, now I have installed some liveries and airports and I'm checking.
Now it works fine and all airports are lined up correctly.
I have no idea what the problem was, now I will continue to install other airports and check if one of them causes the error to reoccur.
In this case I will open another ticket for you and we will see through debug what the error is so we report it to whoever is responsible.
I thank you for the help and the time you have dedicated to me.
One thing only, I have a doubt and maybe I remember wrongly, but when the airplanes moved from the gate to take the direct taxi for departure they moved with the help of the taxi van or do I mismatch myself?
Thanks again for your software which I love 🙂
