May 7, 20224 yr Twice in the last week MSFS would not start, it would crash to desktop before it would load. I disabled antivirus and renamed community folder to remove those possible reasons. The cure which worked both times was this: Go to my OFFICIAL folder of MSFS and move the folder fs-base-nav out of the OFFICIAL folder and put it in the desktop for safekeeping. Now MSFS will boot just fine (after re-installing the missing tiny fs-base-nav files at the Searching For Updates screen). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This issue is covered deep in the MSFS help FAQs and is where I found this solution. (Another folder which MSFS FAQ suggested that may have to be moved out of official to allow booting is: workingtitle-g1000nxi). fs-base-nav and workingtitle-g1000nxi are the folders which could prevent MSFS from booting. May 7, 20224 yr Author It takes far less time to do this than to verify the integrity of the MSFS files which means reinstalling the whole sim and all of its updates and marketplace items. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel.
